As Storm Babet batters Britain, Leeds-Bradford Airport suspends flights after a TUI Airways 737 from Corfu skids off the runway

Storm Babet: A vacation jet skidded off a runway upon landing in windy and rainy circumstances

The company reported that on Friday afternoon, the TUI flight from Corfu “moved off the runway whilst landing” at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA).

According to LBA, all passengers had been safely evacuated from the aircraft, and the airport was closed. Passengers were advised to confirm with their airline prior to departure.

There were no fires or casualties, according to West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. /TelegraphNews
