According to the US Coast Guard, the five persons aboard the missing Titanic submarine in the Atlantic Ocean have only 35 hours of oxygen left.
The Missing Titanic Submarine transports visitors to the depths of the Atlantic to witness the sinking remains of the RMS Titanic, a British passenger liner, operated by the White Star Line.
Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after striking an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, United States.
According to the American captain, Jamie Frederick, the Titan submarine may have had 96 hours of oxygen reserves at the time of launch.
On Sunday, the submarine lost communication with its operators while sailing off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.
The submarine is carrying British millionaire Hamish Harding and four other guests.
The business OceanGate, which facilitates this journey, charges visitors $250,000 to see the submerged sections of the famed ship up close and personal.
Participants fly around 595 kilometers above the Titanic on a big ship before embarking on an eight-hour dive in the Titan submarine to reach the depths.
