At least 15 people perished as a consequence of the floods, and over a week later, about 23,000 people are still homeless, and several communities are still submerged.
Meanwhile, the floods have ruined hundreds of hectares of land, particularly agricultural area.
Meloni gathered the Italian cabinet on Tuesday to approve the relief package after visiting the devastated districts on Sunday.
She stated that the help will not just go to flood victims, but also to health care providers and the tourism industry.
According to the Italian Prime Minister, this package covers emergency costs as well as tax and social contribution moratoriums for impacted households and businesses.
