Viktor Orban visits Albania

Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary, is now in Albania on official visit.

Edi Rama, the Albanian prime minister, welcomed him with a formal ceremony.

Marton Nagy, the minister of economic development, and Peter Szillarto, the minister of foreign trade, were in Orban’s company.

There will be multiple agreements signed between the two delegations, according to the media office of the Albanian Prime Minister’s Office, albeit it has not been made clear which ones.

The two prime ministers will attend a news conference after they have signed the accords.

Additionally, Lindita Nikolla, the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, will meet with Orban.

The Hungarian Prime Minister announced significant agreements between the two nations on his Facebook page.

He added, “We arrived in Albania, important agreements are waiting for us!”

Katalin Novak, the president of Hungary, last traveled to Albania just two weeks ago.

The most recent events in Kosovo’s north, involving the injuries of KFOR soldiers, including several Hungarians, were the main topic of discussion at her meeting with her Albanian counterpart, Bajram Begaj.

They also talked about the integration process of Albania and the Western Balkans, but also about deepening the economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to data from INSTAT and the Bank of Albania, the number of Hungarian companies in Albania has doubled since 2015.
