German authorities detained three youngsters aged 14 and 15 after they were identified in a disturbing video following the assault and death of a homeless man
GERMANY, Oct 27 (Telegraph News) — The victim’s body was found in a park, near a quiet residential area in Horn-Bad Meinberg, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. That same day, a witness reported recognizing some teenagers from video footage taken at the crime scene. “One of the perpetrators filmed the facts and then shared the images. Someone who saw the video went to the police,” said a statement from the public prosecutor’s office.
Two 15-year-olds were arrested for questioning and made confessions. The teenagers’ statements also put investigators on the trail of a third accomplice. The 14-year-old boy was arrested at home and taken for questioning. An autopsy will be carried out on the victim’s body today, but investigators have no doubt he died after being beaten and stabbed.
