The managing director of the upmarket Macdonald Aviemore hotel resort in the plush Scottish Highlands has been fired after Ukrainian migrants protested that wi-fi didn’t work, the lift was broken, and the restaurant only served “nuggets and chips.”
The hotel, which claims to be surrounded by “an abundance of breath-taking scenery, outdoor activities, and local attractions” did not “properly oversee arrangements for a group of Ukrainian refugees, a hearing was told.
The migrants complained of an “infestation” of “vermin” at the 85-room complex, which was described as “harrowing.”
