4 bloggers stand in court for posting on Internet about Ukraine’s air defense

The four female bloggers have been placed under house arrest for 24 hours after being suspected of recording and uploading the operation of Ukraine’s air defense.

Inna Chernetska (Voronova), Daria Semenchenko, Olha Didovets, and Liudmyla Nuzhna have all been charged with recording the Russian attack on Kiev on May 16.

The proceedings were held behind closed doors, according to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, since the case file contained information concerning the position of the air defense system.

Chernetska’s attorneys also informed the court that their client had no malice.

While Semenchenko stated that he had not posted any of the photographs on social media, he had sent them to the administrator with the intention of blurring them before uploading them.

The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office initiated a complaint against the bloggers on May 31.

Sharing military position and equipment information is punishable by up to eight years in jail.
